Referrers – Do you work with parents with children 5-19?
Do you know a parent or a family who might benefit from having a Community Mentor with them to improve their quality of life?
Mentors can help parents with relationship communication difficulties, help build self-confidence and gain information and advice that could as a result help their integration in the community. Award Adult Befrienders (Posted 13/05/2014)
Kaleidoscope Enterprise Ltd. (KEL) is delighted to be participating for the first time in two EU funded projects under the Grundtvig Lifelong Learning programme). Through these projects we will work with a diversity of European not-for-profit partners to share knowledge / experiences and new ways of working over a two-year period (2013 – 2015).
Moreen, Kumiko and Penny (volunteer) of Kaleidoscope Enterprise Ltd welcome EU Community Mentoring Partnership representatives from Romania, Turkey, Slovakia and Northern Ireland to Hatfield for our first project planning meeting of which Kaleidoscope is the project coordinator — at Number 1 Hatfield Community Resource Centre.1. Community Mentoring for Social Inclusion Partnership –
In this project, KEL is both a partner and the partnership coordinator. The partnership’s objective is to examine and compare experiences of running informal adult learning and training and in particular to examine how the community mentoring model could be used to improve outcomes and practice in the field. Running alongside this activity, Kaleidoscope will be looking to recruit Hertfordshire participants to be part of a volunteer mentor training programme informed and developed by exchange visits to partner countries. The other partners include a Northern Irish Women’s Centre, a Romanian regional authority, a Romanian professional association, a Turkish educational authority and a Slovakian youth project.
